Educational institutions

The Research Educational Centre of Economics and Information Technologies of ISEDT RAS carries out activities to develop the cooperation with educational institutions not only within the city and the region, but on a national and near abroad scale.

Within the frame of an elective course REC together with Lyceum № 32 and the Children and Youth Centre “Edinstvo” teaches and involves into research activity pupils from Vologda schools. During the period 2002-2015 REC concluded cooperation agreements with educational institutions of Vologda, the Vologda Oblast, and other regions of the country (Secondary School no. 29 in Vologda, Lyceum “AMTEK” in Cherepovets, Chuchkovo School in the Vologda Oblast, Gymnasium no. 1306 in Moscow, Secondary School no. 11 in Vologda, etc.).

The creation of the Economic Internet-school at REC and the conduction of the Open Competition in Economics have promoted the extension of cooperation. Pupils from 21 regions of Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and the Ukraine have been engaged in the studying at REC Internet-school and participation in competitions.

REC provides continuous training of personnel in the sphere of economics and within this framework it collaborates with the leading institutions of higher education in Vologda and the Vologda Oblast, in particular with the Vologda State University, Vologda Business Institute.

In 2013 ISEDT RAS signed cooperation agreements with the Moscow School of Economics of M.V. Lomonosov MSU, Saint-Petersburg University of Economics, and Cherepovets State University. The collaboration with the Moscow School of Economics of M.V. Lomonosov MSU aims at the development of conditions for training and career enhancement of ISEDT RAS personnel. Thus, during the academic year lecturers from the Moscow School of Economics give classes in the course “Econometrics” for postgraduate students of ISEDT RAS. Also graduate students from Vologda and the Vologda Oblast have an opportunity to enroll at the master program of the Moscow School of Economics of M.V. Lomonosov MSU on “Economic theory and problems of modern Russia”

The Research Educational Centre cooperates with higher education institutions in the following ways: involving students into the scientific activity through the organization of scientific seminars, economic lectures, competitions of research works, and conferences; organization of internships at ISEDT RAS for students; popularization of scientific activity through the open days, employment fairs, meeting of students planning their postgraduate studies.

In order to promote the interest in economic problems in the city and the country, for pupils, students, postgraduates, and young researchers within the cooperation of the Vologda Oblast Government, Vologda City Administration, and the Moscow School of Economics since 2013 the Institute of Socio-Economic Development of Territories of RAS has been organizing research-to-practice seminars where leading Russian and foreign scientists-economists participate. In 2014-2015 ISEDT RAS organized public lectures with the participation of Doctor of Economics, RAS Academician P.A. Minakir, Professor of the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations (Paris) Julien Vercueil, RAS Academician, Doctor of Philosophy M.K. Gorshkov, Doctor of Economics, Professor, foreign member of RAS L.V. Kvint, RAS corresponding member, Doctor of Economics, Professor R.S. Grinberg. Over 170 students visited the lectures.
